Kublai Khan was born 1215 and died in 1294, he was the Mongol emperor of China and the grandson of Genghis Khan. Kublai had a brother named Mangu who conquered Southern China from 1252 until 1259 when Mangu died. Mangu's death ended with the completed conquest of China and the Yuan Dynasty was founded and Kublai Khan established his capital in modern Beijing.
